Swim
Our swim courses are designed to fit all levels of Open Water Swimming and give the athletes an opportunity to experience a mass-start on the beach.

The athletes choose to complete a 400 meter, 1, or 2 Open Water Swim in the Tylösand bay. It’s a timed race and the athletes will receive a separate Swim-time, Transition-time and Run-time. The “Swim-start, Swim-exit, Transition-area, Run-start and Finish-line” is in Tylösand.
The Swim-start is 10:00 am. Predicted water temperature and weather:
Water temperature 16 – 22 degrees Celsius. Air temperature 18 – 25 degrees Celsius.

There will be a limited number of buoys along the Swim-course to ensure an Open Water Swim experience. The swimmers will enter the water in front of the Tylösand lifeguard-tower and should keep the buoys to their left the entire swim.

The athletes who swim the 400 meter course turn left by the 200 meter buoy and return to the Swim-start. Exit the water in front of the Tylösand lifeguard tower and enter the Transition-area.

The athletes who swim the 1 kilometer course turn left by the 500 meter buoy and return to the Swim-start. Exit the water in front of the Tylösand lifeguard tower and enter the Transition-area.

The athletes who swim the 2 kilometer course turn left by the 1 kilometer buoy and return to the Swim-start. Exit the water in front of the Tylösand lifeguard tower and enter the Transition-area.

Run
The run course is a relatively flat and scenic 7 kilometer loop on the trails, bike and walk-path in Tylösand.

The athletes choose to complete one, two or three laps. It’s a timed race and the athletes will receive a separate Swim-time, Transition-time and Run-time.
The “Swim-start, Swim-exit, Transition-area, Run-start and Finish-line” is in Tylösand. Run participants will transition into running gear in their designated space within the Transition-area. Exit the Transition-area and start the run.

The Run course closes at 15:30 pm.

Volunteers
We are always looking for experienced volunteers and welcome interested individuals and organizations.

The volunteer check-in is 9:00 am in front of the Tylösand lifeguard tower and we prefer that all volunteers are present during the entire race. The run-course closes at 3:30 pm and we expect the volunteers’ tasks to be finished 4:00 pm. All volunteers will be served food & drinks before, during and after the race.

We have listed some of the volunteer opportunities below and please send us an email if there is anything of your interest.
